20 years gone, tribute flows for Fela

Today is the 20th year since Afrobeat legend and activist, Fela Anikulapo Kuti passed away.

The legendary singer, composer and multi instrumentalist died on August 2nd, 1997. Nigerians remember Fela as a prophet of some sort.

Nigerians are paying tributes to him online 20 years after his demise. Leading the parade of tributes are his children who fondly miss their dad.
